Climate Crisis: Scientists Say Rise of Temperatures Cause Melts, Landslides (interview)

February 24, 2021

TRT World Now– IGSD President Durwood Zaelke explains we must slam on the breaks of climate warming, not just from CO2 but also the short-lived super climate pollutants (HFCs, methane, tropospheric ozone, and black carbon soot’), that can give us the fastest way to slow down the warming. If we don’t take very aggressive action today, tragedies like these will unfold many more times in the future.

Zaelke notes our biggest climate challenge today is a mismatch of speed. Climate Change is happening at an accelerating rate and solutions are going slower. It is axiomatic, we can’t solve a fast-moving problem with slow-moving solutions. Time to speed up the solutions.
