Rebecca Mitchell is a Law Fellow at IGSD. Her work focuses on developing litigation strategies to advance fast-acting climate mitigation.
Prior to joining IGSD, Rebecca served as an Assistant District Attorney, where she prosecuted a wide range of criminal cases through all stages of litigation. She has also contributed to legal and policy research in areas such as people-centered climate governance. Her earlier work includes roles at a global law firm, as well as in the court system, government agencies, and academic legal institutions.
Rebecca holds an LL.M. in Environmental and Energy Law from New York University School of Law and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Human Rights and International Justice from Boston College’s Center for Human Rights and International Justice.
