Mohamed Rida Derder
Mohamed Rida Derder is Special Counsel for the MENA region and Africa at IGSD. He is an attorney from Morocco, focusing on ozone and climate change issues. Prior to IGSD, Mohamed Rida was instrumental in the development of the Network for Environmental Compliance & Enforcement in the Maghreb (NECEMA) through the International Network for Environmental Compliance & Enforcement (INECE). He also managed INECE’s participation in planning and coordinating environmental capacity-building workshops through the State Department’s Middle East Partnership Initiative and served as an advisor to the UNFCCC and Montreal Protocol for many African countries.
Mohamed Rida holds an LL.M. degree from The American University Washington College of Law. He is a native speaker of both Arabic and French with fluency in English.
