Dr. Dan Kim  Program Officer

Dr. Dan Kim is a Program Officer at IGSD. His work focuses on legal and policy research related to international treaty negotiations, policy development, and compliance issues under the Montreal Protocol and other global environmental agreements, including IGSD’s campaign to prevent environmentally harmful product dumping.

Before joining IGSD, Dan served as a Senior Policy Analyst at Environmental Investigation Agency, led consensus studies at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM), worked on antimicrobial resistance policy at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services and science communication at the U.S. Department of the Interior, served as Principal Investigator at the Korean Ministry of Science and ICT’s Green Technology Center, and as a consultant with the World Bank.

He holds a PhD in Public Policy and Public Administration from George Washington University, an MPA from Tsinghua University, and a BS from Cornell University. He is a native Korean and English speaker and conversational in Mandarin Chinese.
